I guess it is a bit to late for suggetions but I put it out anyway
I imagine that develepers dont want to hear things like "XXX have this function! Cant your program have it to?" True or false?
Anyway..
Have you tried kTorrent?
If not, please do!
It has a lovely function that allows you to search popular torrentengines in the program, it kinda turns into a webbrowser!
Perhaps this is hard to achieve but it would be really useful!

deluge has a search plugin (Plugins->Torrent Search) which allows you to enter in keywords for a desired torrent search engine and the results will be opened in your default browser. You can also add search engines.
