Problem with ports and ip. Please help!

Post by Pierce »

Hello everybody

well first of all sorry for my english, i'm from spain and it's quite hard for me to write in english but i'll try.

Ok i have installed Deluge 0.5.9.3 and everything was ok till I have to put the ports. I have opened correctly (i'm sure because i have done it hundreds of times) te ports 4960 to 4960 but when I click to check if they are opened in Deluge preferences it says that they are closed!! Actually puts that: TCP port 49160 closed on 80.58.205.50
Then i checked mi IP and it's not the one that it says, so i don't understand it.

Please help!! i found deluge a very good torrent client, but i need to open the ports correctly!

Thanks to everybody

Edit: Forgot to say that is the Windows XP version
New edit: while checking again mi ip i realized that 80.58.205.50 is mi proxy, wich i don't know what it is :D , can someone plese explain this? Because with other programs such as emule or azureus i haven't had that problems!

Thanks again!

If you have a proxy then did you setup the proxy in the config?
I don't have a proxy myself so I couldn't give further advice.

I think I don't have any proxy, but in webs such as whatismyip it says that I use a proxy through IP: 80.58.205.56. What is that? How can I solve it?

Try enabling UPnP in the network preferences.

Also, I just noticed you have written port 4960 but then list 49160 I assume that is just a typo then?
