Selectively downloaded torrent never finishing

Post by Nameless »

I have encountered this problem a couple of times, although not consistently. I begin downloading some files from a large torrent, but the percentage of the completion doesn't match my selected files, and when they are downloaded, Deluge doesn't report it, it simply seeds.

That is to say, for example, I have a torrent of 100 1 MB files, I tell deluge to download 3 of them, and completion only reaches 3%, at which point deluge doesn't tell me its done, it simply seeds. Also, while downloading, deluge reports as ETA, the time it would take it to download the whole 100 MBs and not the 3 I told it to.

It's not that vital, but what's annoying is that you don't have an estimation about remaining time.

Version 0.5.9.0 for sure, although it might have happened in earlier versions.

It's strange, it seems to happen randomly and seemingly unknown reasons. It works as expected for me .5.9.0 or .5.9.1 for windows. Did you try deleting the prefs.state or persistent.state files or the .fastresume files?

I deleted the .fastresume file for the torrent which had this problem, and readded it in deluge. It checked the existing files, and then did the same thing. It didn't solve the problem.

I am hesitant to delete my prefs.state and persistent.state files. I have other torrents running, and would also like to keep my preferences. If I back them up and restore them afterwards, will I keep my prefs and torrent states?
