VERY SLOW SPEEDS !!

I have switched from uTorrent under wine on ubuntu to deluge.

I have a very fast C2D with 4GB ram and fast disks. On uTorrent, just today I was getting 6MB ups on my 100miB pipe. This is good. I was getting some of those uTorrent Error to many files and someone said I should try Deluge on it. I have used Deluge on a small server before with 3 or 4 torrents and the speed was fine.

I now have 100 torrents seeding, which is FAR LESS than I seed with Azerues on my Mac home ISP.

But I can't get ANY FILE to get more than 20 ro 30kps up and I am maxed out at only 300 or 400kbs up. 1/20th of the 6+ MB I had with these same torrents 3 hours ago when running uTorrent.

I have checked all the settings to a MAX or Unlimited as I am able, but so far my pipe is sitting there empty.

Is Deluage able to handle 1000+ connections? It says I only have 700 or so...

What could the problem be ??

don't put all your settings to max, instead run the configuration wizard and set the correct upload speed, it will optimise the configuration for you.

I see exactly what that did.

And it did not affect anything.

So my up is not set to unlimited anymore and now says 8MB. Great. I am still getting 400K not 1MB nor 2 or anything close to 8.

Not one torrent with 90 leachers which was averaging 4MB is getting over 40K each.

All it did was set my max connections from unlimited to 1000. Which means I cannot even connect to as many as I was once connecting too.

How did you expect "letting the wizard" solve the problem?

really... Thats the answer you give n00bs when they call MicroSoft... Reboot your machine!!

I would really apreciate it if you could perhaps ask some questions about which I may not have considered and see if we can truly find a cause or limit?

I have looked at 40 torrents all seeding, no downloading. They all have 10 or more connections. NONE of these 400 connections are greater than 4K each.

Deluge simply cannot handle more than a few torrents at slow speeds. I have used it on 3 or 4 torrents and gotten HUGE speeds. But it is just not designed for seeded more than a few files at a time. Too bad. I have gone back to uTorrent. Same file limits but I get my speeds.
