Hi
Running Ubuntu 64-bit. Deluge 0.5.9.0 installs fine from the provided .deb. Upgrading to 0.5.9.1 gives the following error: Dependency is not satisfiable: deluge-torrent-common.

Re: 0.5.9.1 for Ubuntu64: Dependency problem
same here on ubuntu 8.04 i386. i tried to make a fresh install after uninstalling svn and got the error message.
installing "deluge-torrent-common" from ubuntu's repository didn't help, the same error message appears.
edit: installing deluge 0.5.9.1 from svn-trunk works

Re: 0.5.9.1 for Ubuntu64: Dependency problem
Got the same problem with 32Bit Hardy Xubuntu. I didn't need any deluge-torrent-common ever since I started installing the files from the website. The repo version 0.5.8.9 needs it though.
I get this when trying to install the latest version:
deluge-torrent: Depends: deluge-torrent-common (= 0.5.9.1-1)
I get this when trying to install the latest version:
deluge-torrent: Depends: deluge-torrent-common (= 0.5.9.1-1)
Re: 0.5.9.1 for Ubuntu64: Dependency problem
uninstall deluge, then install the latest version, that should work.
Re: 0.5.9.1 for Ubuntu64: Dependency problem
Uninstallation doesn't work for me. I get this after I removed deluge from the system and tried to install the latest Hardy package:
So the dependency with deluge-torrent-common still persists.
Code: Select all
$ sudo dpkg -i deluge-torrent_0.5.9.1-1_i386.hardy.deb
Selecting previously deselected package deluge-torrent.
(Reading database ... 134730 files and directories currently installed.)
Unpacking deluge-torrent (from deluge-torrent_0.5.9.1-1_i386.hardy.deb) ...
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of deluge-torrent:
deluge-torrent depends on deluge-torrent-common (= 0.5.9.1-1); however:
Package deluge-torrent-common is not installed.
dpkg: error processing deluge-torrent (--install):
dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
Errors were encountered while processing:
deluge-torrent

The same problem!!r0ckarong wrote:Uninstallation doesn't work for me. I get this after I removed deluge from the system and tried to install the latest Hardy package:

The uninstall does not solve the problem.
This problem of dependency is common to Ubuntu 32 and 64.

Re: 0.5.9.1 for Ubuntu: Dependency problem
this was my bad. i fixed it and refreshed packages should be on the server in about 30 minutes. once they show up, we'll change our home page from showing 0.5.9.0 to showing 0.5.9.1 (we switched back due to this problem)simonbcn wrote:The same problem!!r0ckarong wrote:Uninstallation doesn't work for me. Great let's see if it now works.
Just a moment a go situation was something like this.
Most interesting, new problem? Maybe you're just uploading file to server?

Re: 0.5.9.1 for Ubuntu64: Dependency problem
yes, like i said in my previous post, it was changed back until the servers could be resynced with the proper packages. now it's resynced, everything's fixed, so it's back to saying 0.5.9.1 and you guys should redownload and give those a shot
