Cant seed properly

Post by TidusBlade »

I used to be able to seed properly, until I think yesterday, I really dont know what happened, but it's getting harder, I'm connected to about 50 leechers but not even uploading abit, sometimes it would go upto 1kb/s or 2 then go back down :( I porobably did something wrong, so if anyone's willing to help, I'll gladly appreciate it

I have the same problem with the latest builds for Windows. Deluge downloads and uploads fine, with good speeds, when I'm leeching. It just stops uploading as soon as I'm seeding.

Not sure if this is specifically related to the Windows build - which is alpha - but Deluge is also complaining about "[No incoming connections]" and claims my ports are closed, while UPnP is enabled and µTorrent can seed without problems with UPnP enabled.

Yeah, I also forgot to mention that I get good upload/download speeds while leeching but as soon as I start seeding, it just stops, it's probably with all versions :?

I'd hope anyone from the development team could investigate this, and verify if this is a bug? I haven't found a bug report here.

I am getting this problem on 0.5.5 running on Arch Linux and Debian Sid. I don't have the problem with rtorrent or ktorrent on the same machines with the same network. Has anyone reported this as a bug? I am not sure if the developers check all the posts on the forums.

have u all tried changing if it's ur own the trackers, on my end it works fine on one only that i know of while the others will return an error.. :/ however I can upload fine are u sure that maybe also on the other end the other people/person is changing the download/upload speed to a lower value, and/or is on a very slow connection prob. under 56k...??

I have tried using the same torrent on ktorrent and on deluge. Ktorrent always outperforms deluge on seeding. I am using encryption, I am not sure if this makes a difference. I am one of the unlucky ones that has an ISP that limits torrent data. Even with this ktorrent and rtorrent are seeding better.

For example 7.10 Ubuntu DVD will seed at 30Kbs consistently with ktorrent. With deluge it will start at 30Kbs and then slowly drop off, sometimes to 0, other times to 15. Occasionally it will get back up to 30Kbs, but not for long.

It maybe the number of peers connected or it maybe another factor, but this torrent does have enough people leaching at the moment to make it a good test.

Can anyone confirm they have a problem with 0.5.6?
