Magnets are not connecting

Post by flexikata »

I've been able to download about 15 torrents today however, the past few hours I've gotten the "Unable to download files for this magnet" from a wide variety of files. I've tried different websites, clearing my computer, restarting my computer, etc. I'm on Windows 10. Any idea on why I keep getting this? It seems too often to just be me selecting bad torrents.

It could be that the tracker in the magnet link is down/dead, or that you have DHT disabled in the preferences -> network page, or a variety of things.

Check the trackers pane of the torrents details, and see what the responses are saying.

Thanks for responding! I looked at the tracker list but I admit I have no idea what I'm looking at. The DHT is enabled. These are two of the ones where the files wouldn't download

there are over 200 seeders and about 100 leachers for all of the ones that I've checked. On 1337 they are all uploaded by TGxGoodies so it might be a them issue, though I've had the same issue on pirate bay with different uploaders.

First of all, don't post links like that on this forum.

Secondly, there are .torrent file's available for both of those torrent's and the .torrent file's do not require downloading the files, so I would suggest if you want those two downloads that you download the .torrent files, however there may be larger problems with that infohash onthere that are causing this in the first place since those exact same trackers respond to different infohash's (torrents) but not those two specific releases you mentioned.

I get the same error as you with the magnet, which tells me it's not you or Deluge but the tracker(s) that those magnet link/releases (infohashes) they rely on.
