Deleted files still seeding? Need explanation

Post by hector9 »

Hello, I found the files I deleted are still seeding on BitTorrent. This is confusing, so is it seeding corrupted files and BitTorrent only checks at the start?

So is there any way to make Deluge stop seeding and give the "file does not exist" error? Thank.

If you've deleted the files from the file system but not the actual client (deluge) itself - then until the files are found to be missing when deluge attempts to read them, they will continue to seed.

If you wish to "trigger" the error state, you can simply restart deluge and missing files will be put in an error state and be easily identifiable.
