Torrents not reporting to site but announces OK

Post by fiskmaas »

So i've had this issue since I migrated a harddrive to another computer I'm using solely for torrenting. The harddrive contained about 700 torrents that i moved over to an already running deluge daemon with about 1000 torrents on it. I did a recheck on every torrent and it went fine. BUT now some of the torrents (not necessarily correlated to the torrents from the migration HDD) are not reporting correctly to their respective trackers.

When I start Deluge it announces fine to all trackers and on the respective sites I can see the torrents coming up as seeding just fine. But after about an hour or so some torrents are dropping off from the sites. There are NO errors in deluge whatsoever (announces OK), and I've ran it with logging enabled at info level and everything looks fine.

This always happens to the SAME torrents at each client restart (or pause-start, reannounce does not help), after about an hour or so, and only affects about 20% of total torrents. And this happens on several different sites/trackers so it does not seem to be a tracker issue either.

I've tried reinstalling (apt remove and purge, saved only state folder) and also also removing the torrent re-downloading and rehashing without any luck. Other torrent clients like rtorrent and qbittorrent are reporting fine without any issue so this seems isolated to Deluge only.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what this could be? Never had an issue like this before. Seems very strange. Any and all help is appreciated.

Thanks

EDIT: Versions: Client: 1.3.15, libtorrent: 1.1.11.0

Ok so it seems the problem was that some torrents were marked as 'auto managed' (right click -> Options -> Auto Managed), which I believe triggered them to halt when the 'Seed Time' was over (Queue settings). Not sure why only some were marked for this or why they were marked in the first place but hey, I finally found and solved the problem. :D

Hi,

You can leave them as auto-managed but customize queue settings in preferences, let's say say for a number above your total torrents total.
This way the queue etc will no more impact your setup (bypass the queuing process)
