Color of progress bar(s)

Post by corneld »

Hi,
I have some strange situation with my Deluge 1.3.12, on my Opensuse Leap 42.1 system:
all progress bars gets some white foreground on some very light grey background, and thus percentage of progress are extremely difficult to read

External, in my OS, I tried various changes of themes, or colour settings for windows, but I did not stumbled over any combination that change these particular elements in the program (only normal text, background, title bar, other stuff like this; for now I can;t figure out what type of element can this progress bars be, in order to try a particular color).

Is there any sort of setting I can change in order to have some other colours for these bars ?
Be it manually, in a file, if inside the program itself can't be done.
Thanks.

P.S. Here's an example of the problem:

Are you changing QT or GTK themes? Deluge uses GTK. I am using Antergos/Arch - Cinnamon and they are blue for me.

I couldn't find any theme that change this behaviour.
Opensuse's Plasma default theme is now Breeze (I think this is also the case with every KDE based distributions, anyway); I changed it to Oxygen, and just about any other theme I had on my system.
Absolutely no change !

It may be worth noting that this combinations of colours applies only to the progress = 100 % or down on the peers list, for peers with 100% ; all other percentages are with normal, readable colours !

And this is very odd.

Here's a new example:

On the marked line, you should be reading "Seeding" but it's almost impossible to distinguish this word, isn't it ?

Ah, just another quick memo: I couldn't find anywhere on the list of colours used by the themese any such combinations of colours: white (text) on light grey (background).
Every single combination there are decent ones, something that is easy to read/identify.

So I suspect this is something located somewhere inside Deluge itself.
But ... where ?

Are you changing QT themes or GTK themes? I believe KDE has an option for both. I haven't used KDE in a little while, but I remember the Deluge themes were only changed when changing the GTK specific settings.

Err... I'm not very sure if the default theme is something specific to KDE/Plasma 5, or rather GTK. I'd say it is a KDE theme, though.

But, it turned out that I have some category of changes under a term called "Widget style" in my Opensuse :-)
This is where I can choose to change the style from the default "breeze" to an older one "Oxygen-gtk".
And now, I also have those progress bars in Deluge changed to something more visible (some nice white on blue combination).
I hope this will be useful to others, as well.
