This program is SLOW. It makes the newest uTorrent, ads and all, seem like it was screaming along. And I am not just talking bandwidth, although that is a snails pace too, but the actual program itself. When I click on anything in the program (a downloading torrent, to a menu item, to the preferences button), I routinely have to wait 20-30 seconds for the program to even respond and acknowledge my click... if it does at all. This is extremely painful to deal with, but I don't want to go back to that ad invested uTorrent, so I have tried to stick with it. Not sure I can do that much longer though.
And then the bandwidth speeds is awful. I read a bunch of posts and tried to do what they recommended. Rate limit IP Overhead is unchecked. Maximum Connections has been at different settings, and is currently at unlimited. And several other things too. But I can't get anywhere close to 1 MB in downloads, despite having Speed Tests that put my connection at a 75 MB download pipe.
I just downloaded and installed 1.3.12, so I am totally up to date. I don't know what to do, but like I said, this is painful to use. Hopefully someone can help soon before I delete the whole program and start over with something else. At this poitn even uTorrent is better, because at least I was able to download stuff in a timely manner.
Thanks.
Incredibly Slow Speeds
Re: Incredibly Slow Speeds
Never mind. After posting I went and downloaded BitTorrent. Installed it, and then went and found my download again and started it over in it, and I already have the entire 315 MB file downloaded. I got max speeds up to 649 kB/S, while Deluge never got over 39 kB/S on the same file at the same time.
Re: Incredibly Slow Speeds
It can be configured to, pretty much, show NO ads, btw. Some options from the advanced settings, some from the Window$ hosts file, some other ways, too; but, it's possible. =)hogcall wrote:ads and all
