deluge-0.5.5 dont work with Ubuntu Gutsy (video attached)

Post by defcon »

Ok this is the problem, when I download a torrent in gutsy gibbon it doesnt work right, in feisty or any other os, it works perfectly...
The exact problem is that it does not download a torrent, it stops grabs the seeders then pauses continually
here is the video
http://rapidshare.com/files/58985665/deluge.ogg.html
check it
I think it is an issue with libboost since gutsy uses 1.3.4.1-2ubuntu1
...
hmm.. I have compiled the latest svn and latest deluge src as well as tried the deluge gutsy .deb and they all dont work, admin might want to pull it untill issue is fixed

Try using compact allocation.

Which filesystem are you using?

btw, you have to remove a torrent and then re-add it for changes to allocation to take effect. and please, dont post pictures or videos of illegal activities again.

I have added/removed the torrents, deleted ~/.config/deluge, reinstalled .deb package, tried that, same problem with any torrent tracker, made sure all libs are installed which are, compiled from .0.5.5 source, didnt work, compiled svn version 5 minutes ago and still dont work, same issue, with completely random torrents at random trackers.

sorry about posting illegal content, wasnt thinking, ive been searching for random torrent trackers and trying multiple torrents with different settings to locate the issue. Wont happen again..

Anyways, what can I do to help debug this issue, im thinking it could be related to NAT or something else that may be different on my system which I dont know what to pinpoint.

hmm, thats good for you, but not for me :( I have everything up to date on my gutsy box and all required libraries, installing works fine, running it works great but actually getting a download to work with compact/full allocation doesnt work for me
