how to rename

Hello,

i am fairly new and have checked FAQs etc. a couple Questions.

#1 how can i rename files without them to stop seeding?
#2 i dont mind seeding. is there an overview of the totalratio somewhere? i know that i can check each torrents own ratio

On the "Files" tab you can F2 or double click on a file or folder NAME to rename it. If you don't click on the name area it will try and open it.

On the torrents list you can right click and check move storage to change the folder it is saved it.

i did F2 and renamed 1 file. it started to download that torrent again (i obviously had it finished before)

Did you rename it through Deluge or through the Windows file explorer thing?

i did indeed try through windows first. since i read your reply, i tried it through Deluge.
in deluge select Torrent, Open Folder-->select Folder---> F2 -->rename--->still downloading the torrent again (keeps the renamed version so i would have two copies of the torrent)

I have no issues as long as i move/rename through deluge, obviously moving it in windows is going to make deluge think the file isn't there and it will download it again.

is there somewhere a step by step for dummies? couldnt find it in the FAQ. Btw, moving files/folders works without a problem for me, only i apparently cant rename them

There is nothing to step through. As Shryp already explained you rename the files in Deluge Files tab and nowhere else!
