Windows Seed Box

Post by destep011 »

Hey all,

Here's my problem. Building a new seed box with an older Win7 machine. My Main PC is Win10. I have Deluged setup as a Service. Service Starts, but the client on my Win10 machine see's no daemon. I know the IP is right. Have the port forwarded. Still stays red.

Is there a comprehensive guide/walkthrough for such a set up, or is there a common problem with a setup like this? Any help would be appreciated. I'm a n00b, so it's probably something simple...

Easiest thing to do is just install deluge on your windows 7 machine as usual.
Run it once.
Disable the classic mode.
Exit it.
Edit the auth file to add your new user with notepad or something.
Then connect from the second computer.

Remember that the use name and password in the second computer is the user name and password you manually added to the auth file on the first computer.

You might also have to check the "allow remote connections" box under the daemon tab on the preferences on your windows 7 box.

Thanks a ton for the quick reply. Turns out I did everything correctly, according to the video. But in a comment, someone mentioned their core.conf file resetting to defaults everytime the service was started. I had that same bug. Stopped the service, started it back up, and everything worked fine! Thanks again.
