Keep from using /tmp?

Hi guys,

I've got a VPS running a plex media server, which needs the /tmp directly to be empty(ish) in order to stream and buffer correctly. When I install deluge (or qbittorrent, for that matter), it starts filling up and using the /tmp directory. Is there a way to keep that from happening, i.e. force deluge to use a different directory?

I'm not sure what Deluge would be putting in tmp? Can you provide an example.
