Everything is now sycned and here is the final fix
release:
Deluge 0.5.8.8 (09 April 2008)
* Fix ubuntu hardy and debian sid bug sine they've renamed and broken up the packages.
* Fix ratio (again)
* Sync with asio 1.0 release
* Remove file manager from preferences since xdg is now installed by default on every manjor distro
* Sync with libtorrent 0.13 release
* Fix for vista dbus not closing bug

This version is crashing in windows xp sp2. In he meantime I'm using the last version. Waiting for good news ;)

Yeah, I had the same problem. On Ubuntu 8.04. If you press enter, you realise it's not that Deluge has hung, it's quit.

So I deleted persistant.state, and Deluge loaded up.

But then it instantly closed on me when I dragged a torrent onto the main window. Again, no exception messages were printed to the console.

Other than that, I'm sure this is a great release :).

same things happen to me when i tried svn a few days ago. that's why i went back to 0.5.8.7. i hoped this might have been fixed in 0.5.8.8, but it isn't. :cry:

After I upgraded to this version. Those files marked that I marked "don't download" still said "don't download" however file size of these files then counted making my hard disk full. I haved to revert to previous version.

it all seems to work perfectly for me, didnt try the 'dont download' thing

0.5.8.7 worked pretty well for me, but this release doesn't even start.

Edit: Forgot; I'm running Ubuntu 7.10 x86
