Deamon not binding to WebUI?

I've installed the latest Deluge from PPA on Ubuntu Server 14.04, it seems like everything starts fine from the terminal, I can also browse to the web interface, I can login with the default password, but I cannot save any settings (when I click apply or ok nothing happens, only the close button on the settings menu makes it disappear discarding all changes of course), I can also not add any torrents because the buttons are grayed out...

I've read a lot of material on the internet, but none of them seem to correspond with my situation...

I can't find any log files on the server, so I'm not sure where to look to be able to solve this issue...

Is the daemon running and did you use the connection manager to connect to it.
