Deluge development work general overview, roadmap?

I'm interested in understanding how things stand w.r.t. deluge development - not in the sense of trac tickets (I found this page and this one), but more like:

- Who's actively involved in deluge development?
- Are there companies/NGOs/academic institutions supporting the project?
- What is a bird's eye view of the current challenges and development roadmap
- Is there a planned release schedule, and are particular thing part for release?

I'll try to answer this as best as I can.

1. Not many currently. Mainly, Cas as can be seen in the commit log: https://github.com/deluge-torrent/delug ... ts/develop
   A few others are also contributing regularly.
2. I do not believe so
3. Hard to answer. Few people using their spare time to work for free is part of the issue
As long as the 1.3.X works there is no strict time requirements on finishing the next major version v1.4.
4. Not really. I believe most of the focus currently is on fixing bugs in the development codebase (and optimize).
