It's not normal that libtorrent would be renaming files without explicit call from us so it's not something in dire need of fixing, I am aware that files tab can get out of sync but it's spaghetti code and it mostly works so not a priority :)

I Hope eventually the Force Recheck command will resync the Files tab.

One question: with all of this altering of the torrent, is there any chance that I won't be able to properly seed? If the "_" directory is in there, will I not seed properly to other clients that don't have that "_" directory in their torrent? Or even without the "_" directory, is there any chance of not seeding properly since the original torrent file had an extra "\" in the path? Probably a dumb question but I've never been one to rename and/or reorganize my torrent files so I just don't know how this stuff works under the covers.

As long as libtorrent knows where the files are located, it can seed them, regardless of the name or path. Hashes are used to determine if the file content is correct and that it what a recheck does.

I just registered to report the problem to you.
I am having the same problem of torrent corruption, this happens immediately after I upgraded to 1.3.7
I have never had this problem with the previous versions of Deluge.

I am not knowledgeable in all the technicalities, so here's a screenshot of the problem:

What I know are:
1) There are no error message to show what is causing the error. (It would be great if you can implement this for future releases)
2) If I click on "resume" button, the torrent will continue to download normally for about 3~4 minutes before it goes back to "error".
3) I have continued clicking Resume until the torrent actually finish to 100%, although it will still show as Error. Very weird.

What I have tried to fix the problem (and does not work):
1) Changing the directory of torrent by right click and "Move Storage". (suggestion based on this site)
2) Force Rechecking.

Why not use libtorrent 1.0? It's a stable release.

Release 1.0 has not been properly tested and any bugs in latest 0.16 code likely to be the same in 1.0...

Xaphirezst: The Error will be shown in Details tab!

Nothing in the details tab either.
Here's another screenshot.
