I have searched everywhere to downgrade libtorrent cuz i need deluge to work with socks5 proxy and magnet links...what do i need to do? I have tried compiling libtorrent and have tried everything i can find on the internet and it still doesn't work.

tip:: Don't use a proxy, use a VPN, or force the proxy system wide

mattfox it could, but it would be a total pain in the butt, especially since you would have to manually compile it, again just easier to use a full vpn or a full system proxy, or just pony up a little bit more and get a seedbox, then get accounts at IP-Torrents or AHD for downloadling.
If you feel like redoing libtorrent, don't come screaming if you accidentally **** your computer, linux can be a bitch sometimes >,>

Ya i hear ya, im trying to setup my VPN right now, i don't download enough right now to justify a seedbox i just really like the deluge server/client setup...Im just working out how to autostart the VPN and maybe a killswitch because my linux box is headless but the killswitch option seems to not work as it kills my SSH connection into my box, i haven't found a workaround yet but we will see. I just wish the whole libtorrrent socks5 proxy wasn't an issue. When i had this all working on my Raspberry pi it was running version 1.3.3 and it all worked great then when i went over to my ubuntu box it installs 1.3.6 with libtorrent-rastebar7 which is were the issue is so i had to rethink the whole setup.
