Hi all, I just realized that deluged is continously almost the 100% of my CPU, at least of one core.
I'm running a Gentoo distro, deluged 1.3.6 (so in daemon mode), and it doesn't matter if I've got deluge launched or not, it's the same.
I've read that reducing the number of connections will bring it low, but I changed from 200 to 80 and the consumption was the same.
I've got around 200 torrents.
Thanks
Deluged taking 100% of CPU
Re: Deluged taking 100% of CPU
Exactly the same happens to me. In my machine, a dual core, top shows right now deluged at 186% CPU. Is almost impossible to connect and configure anything (running in thin client mode).
It started happening yesterday (the exact same configuration has been going OK for months). Tried restarting the daemon several times (after a restart it worked OK for a few minutes), but in one of the restarts it completely lost all configuration. I left it stopped (I was REALLY angry) and today I deleted ~/.config/deluge except the 'state' dir and reconfigured everything from scratch.
When I started again deluged, it soon went back to hogging almost all the CPU, that was like half hour ago. Now, 2 minutes ago (a little after I started writing this), CPU usage has dropped and right now is around 30% and everything seems to be normal.
I suspect that some torrents or connections causes the behavior, because I've seen the same happening in the past once or twice and after some time it goes back to normal, but this time it happened for several hours at least (until my configuration was lost), and right after reconfiguration it happened again for a brief period (like half an hour or so)
