Hello everybody.
I wonder if you can help me. I am new to this site and I know very little about the use of Deluge. I have been using it for years, though, downloading torrents and sharing material.
I had more than 150 shared files when this morning there was a power cut at my home. When I next opened Deluge (1.3.6) all the files that I had downloaded and had been seeding for others were gone from the interface. The files are still on my hard drive, though.
When I tried to add a folder, the error message "Not a valid bencoded string" appears. I don't know how to connect the files back with Deluge so I can seed them again. I would be extremely grateful if you could help me. Thank you very much indeed.
Gayuleiring.

Re: Lost torrents
I am afraid I made a mistake in my previous post. I am running Deluge 1.3.3
Thank you for your attention.

Re: Lost torrents
The .torrent files in config should be named with their hash so any that are corrupt can be redownloaded or you could use the hash to add them through infohash option.

Re: Lost torrents
Thank you very much indeed for your reply. Unfortunately I am afraid I do not understand how to do that. I am not familiar with all this vocabulary (hash, for example).
I wonder if you can help me then with these questions or refer me a to a website where I can find the answer to them.
How can I get the hash? Where can I view my .torrent files? I did a search of .torrent files on my computer and there were not any available.
Where in the configuration (preferences?) can I name the .torrent files with their hash?
I would be very grateful if you could help me.

Re: Lost torrents
I was able to do it in the end. Many thanks indeed. You have been of great help.
I had some torrents that were not completed. How can I resume their download? Is it necessary to download them completely again? Thank you.

Re: Lost torrents
If you added them then they should just resume as long as there is a tracker/peer to communicate with.
