0.5.8.7 released

Post by markybob »

in about 5 minutes, the servers should sync up and the release will be available to all at its normal locations (http://download.deluge-torrent.org/ and http://deluge-torrent.org/downloads.php). dont complain that we havent updated http://delgue-torrent.org/downloads.php, cuz it's updated automatically when the sync happens, which means you just need to clear your browser cache or refersh. enjoy all, and good night :)

here's the changelog:
Deluge 0.5.8.7 (25 March 2008)
* UPnP fixes
* Bandwidth limiter fix
* Various DHT fixes
* Fix upload ratio not saving
* Fix WebUI crash (ticket #89)
* Clear seeding torrents now deletes the ".torrent" file
* Fix keyboard scrolling of plugins
* Scheduler can now handle number of active torrents, upload slots and max connections - Ben

I've been mucking about for the last few hours and I can say that:

0.5.8.7 works on Vista.
The WEBUI works perfectly well in both formats. Previously, I hadn't been able to use the advanced.
Autostarting is working, none of my torrents are re-checking hash.
uPnP is working.

Thanks for all the work, fellas.

Still no love on the blocklist plugin. But I note no change was made.

something just went wrong. rebooted and restarted deluge. firstly all the columns went berserk and nothing like i want them. secondly all the ratios went bananas, several files where i had a ratio around 0.9 are suddenly down to 0.2-0.3 and one where i had a radio around 1 is suddenly at 17.991

well scrapmetal, nice ratio :D
deluge shows me 8 files with a 100+ ratio, that means 41 gb upload (today) at a 295mb file for example. i am still limited to 130 kb/s upload, so either there is a new, beautiful compression algorithm out there - or deluge just reports crap :mrgreen:

and again, the recheck problem is still not fixed. there are only very few files that are examined, but "few" != 0

oh and another problem :shock:
deluge just started with an empty torrents list. well, it crashed yesterday while selecting multiple files (the 8 ones i mentioned above) and doing a right-click to set preferences...now everything is gone^^
