Hi All,
I have been using deluge for the last week and one extremely annoying feature is its instability: it crashes all the time. It runs for about 30 minutes and crashes.
I use Fedora Core 6, 2.6.22.4-45.fc6 kernel, x86_64, Intel Duo 2 2.33Hz CPU, 2G RAM, 2G swap. The files are stored on an external USB drive (I think it crashed as well when I used internal drive).
Currently I use version 0.5.3 of deluge that I built from sources. Previously, I tried 0.5.3-1 rpm with the same success. I enabled all the plugins shipped with deluge. I do not think I changed any other default configuration options.
Any idea how to make deluge more stable? Does everybody experience these problems or is it just me?
Maybe the problem is its memory usage because I am trying to download too much at at time?

Re: deluge keeps crashing
yes, install 0.5.5RC1 (version number 0.5.4.1.95). 0.5.3 is pretty buggy. get a package for your distro at http://download.deluge-torrent.org
Re: deluge keeps crashing
It crashed for me a lot when I tried to add a large number of torrents at once. Keep them in single figures and you should be fine. ;)

Yes, that helped! The new version has already been running for half a day without crashing!markybob wrote:yes, install 0.5.5RC1 (version number 0.5.4.1.95). 0.5.3 is pretty buggy. get a package for your distro at http://download.deluge-torrent.org
