I want to give a huge thanks as well,

I was, and still am for my desktop, a Mandriva user. With all the fuss about Ubuntu, I decided to give it a shot, and was at first dissapointed with the lack of support for my wifi card. After finding a relatively easy fix, I found that all the programs worked much better, or the alternatives were just as good. However, I was having trouble finding a torrent client. After some extensive searching, Deluge seemed to be exactly what I was looking for. I'm glad I got this one right on the first try... :) This client has everything that I loved about Ktorrent, and looks much better too! The only thing that I really miss about it, is the fact that I cannot do a manual announce with Deluge... I hope this is added eventually, as sometimes it seemed to get my torrents off to a nice, fast start (when it seemed to be going far to slow, for what the health was reported to be...).

Thank you again for this wonderful program, I will definitely be using this for the rest of my life....

I just registered at this forum specifically in order to add my thanks to this thread. Deluge is an amazing bit torrent client. I can't tell you how much I appreciate you guys spending the time and energy to develop this application. Before Deluge Azureus pretty much wouldn't run, Bittornado wouldn't open a lot of torrents and had poor bandwidth control, and the integrated client worked, but only downloaded one file at a time and had no options. So thank you. My life is better now.

For a short time after having switched from Windows to Ubuntu, I continued to use µtorrent, through Wine & it all worked just fine - but one day, it started acting up in ways I hardly even know how to describe, so I started looking for some other alternative, and that's how I found Deluge. I've been using it for quite some time now & haven't had any problems with it.

I'd just like to add to this. deluge has made my switch to linux a little smoother and the fact its lightweight and easy to use makes it even better. Thanks for a great torrent client, definitely gonna stick with it for quite some time.

Thank you very much for developing this torrent-client (0.5.4.1). It is working with ubuntu 7.04 on a Thinkpad R50e without problems. Installation was very easy, firefox accepted it at once, a German translation appeared immediately ... ciao windows forever

Great work to all the developers and whoever else has worked on this client. It's working very well for me, and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with it in future versions. Keep up the great work and thanks for letting me replace utorrent under wine with a great OSS client!

Just heard about deluge in the ubuntu forums, I installed the .deb package and have it up and running. Easier to install than transmission which I also use, kinda comparing them now. Thank you for deluge, seems to be a great program.

This is the ideal/ultimate gnome bittorrent client:
superlight, superfast, gtk, regularly bettered/buttered, just enough pizzaz to keep the juices flowing, no bloat/useless features, and it goes on and on and on...
for us gnome users, this is freedom and so much more.
thanks guys!
