I add a torrent file and it seems to work perfectly. I try to add a new torrent and it appears to screen O.K. But doing so, deluge 0.5.8.6 doesn't seem to do anythink. It seems like everything is paused. The numbers don't run, the progress of the torrents doesn't change. If I click on a torrent the downspeed of the torrent that appears on the peers screen changes. But the percentage of the download doesn't change on the upper screen. It seems that deluge works on the backround but the screen is paused and nothing seems to happen.
And on more thing. when I exit deluge and I try to open it again, all my torrents are gone. Deluge is blank. I have to reload the torrents from the beggining. Doing so, it finds the torrents and it's picking up from the point they were stopped.
SEEMS LIKE PAUSED SCREEN
Re: SEEMS LIKE PAUSED SCREEN
I've got a very similar problem. It's like looking at a screenshot of Deluge. Nothing updates unless you minimize and restore the window, then you'll get another "snapshot" of Deluge.
There was no improvement updating to 0.5.8.7 either.
Is there anyway I can help by sending logs or systeminfo, then please respond to this thread and I'll submit that data to you as soon as I can.
I'm running Deluge 0.5.8.7 on Ubuntu 7.10 x86.

Re: SEEMS LIKE PAUSED SCREEN
start deluge from the command prompt and see if there's an error. most likely there'll be a traceback of whatever caused it to happenmax204 wrote:I've got a very similar problem. Re: SEEMS LIKE PAUSED SCREEN
Hi,
it happened to me too, but unfortunately I had launched deluge in background and had already closed the console screen I used.
Could it be the problem? I wrote some very small scripts using python, and once in a while I had lockup problems because I had nowhere to write stdout messages.
Now I'm trying launching it from a graphic shell (xterm) and never close it. It seems to work well.
PS: even the webui interface stopped working when I closed the launching shell. It complained about not being able to write out something, and that's what gave me the idea.
Hope this helps.
