Hi guys ... I have an ubuntu machine running Deluge 1.3.5, and it has a few torrents which are currently being downloaded .. I want to move all the torrent data from that ubuntu machine to a windows machine ... Then I want to continue downloading those torrents from where I left them off on the ubuntu machine ..
Can someone guide me on how to do this ?
EDIT: Also, I'm already aware that when moving Deluge within linux distro's you only need to move the config folder and the downloads, and everything picks up ... but my case is different .. i want to move partially downloaded torrents from an ubuntu running deluge 1.3.5, to a windows 7 PC running deluge 1.35 ..
Need to move partially downloaded torrent to another PC ...
Re: Need to move partially downloaded torrent to another PC
This has been asked many times so a search would have been quicker.
You can copy the config to Windows but the paths would need changing to point to the new torrent data location. Some users have edit the torrent state file paths or alternatively change the location after loading config with 'move storage' THEN move the data to that the location (data move has to be done after to prevent it being wiped out by move storage) . You will move likely need to recheck the torrents to verify data.

Re: Need to move partially downloaded torrent to another PC
Thanks for that man ... Honestly, I did search but I didn't find anything Windows-specific ... I would suggest maybe putting this in an FAQ somewhere ..
What about this method .. Would this work too ?:
1) On the destination PC, load the torrent file, but add it in Paused state
2) Then copy over the previously downloaded data to where you configured the download to save in Step 1 ..
3) Then run Force Recheck
4) And finally resume downloading ..
I tried the above, and resumed a torrent download on the destination PC, and I think it picked up the download from where it was left off on the original machine ...
But, since you're the developer here, you can better advice which method is more error-proof ..

Re: Need to move partially downloaded torrent to another PC
I would say that is the simpelest and most foolproof method.
