This applies to the GTK based GUI for Deluge 1.3.5 (running without the daemon), I have several torrents that I have had in my list of torrents to download in Deluge for quite some time, and recently seeders have actually started seeding them again so I went to move them to the top of my list so that they would get downloaded (I limit my total number of active downloads depending on whether I want to use my other computer to watch streaming media or browse the web or play an online game so that my main computer isn't competing with Deluge on my secondary computer for bandwidth), because of this I tend to move the actively downloading torrents to the top and then reduce the number of permitted active downloads accordingly in Deluge's Preferences. The problem I am having is that when I shutdown and restart Deluge to do system updates or for whatever reason, the list is not in the order it was when I shut down Deluge, for some reason Deluge is no longer saving my custom sorted download list. I don't recall this being a problem with versions prior to 1.3.5 so I believe it is a bug.
My system specs:
Kubuntu 11.10 32-bit (fully updated)
nVidia 7600GS 8x AGP Video Card with 512Mb Video Memory
Intel Pentium 4 with hyper-threading running at 2.8ghz
Intel D865GLC Motherboard (flashed with most recent Intel BIOS)
3gb DDR RAM
1Tb Hitachi Deskstar SATA HD
Samsung 22x DVD Burner (IDE)
Memorex 52x CD Burner (IDE)
300Gb Maxtor SATA HD in external USB enclosure

Re: BUG- Torrent list manual sorting not being retained in 1
Can anyone else confirm this? Or does anyone have any idea why I'm having this problem if it's not a bug with Deluge?
Re: BUG- Torrent list manual sorting not being retained in 1
There were bug fixes in the queue code but I would not have thought it would affect saving and I have not noticed any problems with queue positions so far. If you create a bug ticket then it will be looked into at some point as forum posts easily get lost over time.

Re: BUG- Torrent list manual sorting not being retained in 1
I was somewhat able to confirm this is a bug by removing the torrents I had that were seeding (some 100+ torrents seeding as 'on demand' (no more than 10 active at a time though because my upload speed is only 512kbps) constituting approximately 300gb worth of data), once I did that Deluge started acting normally again and began once again maintaining my manually sorted priority in my torrent list between restarts. So clearly there is some sort of bug in Deluge relating to it's ability/inability to properly maintain torrent lists when there are a large number of seeding torrents in the list. Shame that it took removing those seeding torrents for it to regain normal functionality though.

Re: BUG- Torrent list manual sorting not being retained in 1
Ok, so removing the seeding torrents didn't actually fix it. But I was able to figure out what is going on. It seems that every time Deluge is restarted it reloads the list of torrents in reverse order for some reason. And when it is shut down again after that list is loaded it saves the list in that reversed order, such that the next time it is started up it loads that already reversed list in the reverse order, basically having the effect of unreversing it until the next time it is shutdown/started again where the list is once again loaded in reverse order. So every time Deluge is shutdown/restarted the list is flipped top to bottom from what it was the previous time. I just shutdown/restarted Deluge several times in a row to confirm this behaviour.

What version of libtorrent are you using?
As I said before create a bug ticket and it will be investigated, a post on the forum will get forgotten about.
