[Solved] Torrents immediately show an error

Post by sevenfoxes »

So I am switching off of transmission to Deluge for the first time. I have a server setup that has the deluge-daemon running. I have the ports open, checked it with canyouseeme and I can add torrents from a client machine but the torrents get stuck in the state that you see in the screenshot. Transmission seems to work just fine but I want Deluge so I can use btguard. I tried it with and with out btguard and still no good.

I don't know what other information I need to provide. I did a fair amount of googling but I seem to be going around in circles. Here's the guide I was going off of:

You need to provide the actual error from the status/details tab

Also you not included the version of deluge nor the OS you are using.

Okay here's that information:

The error I'm getting (and it doesn't seem to matter what torrent it is, or where it's from)

Permission denied: /media/bebop/torrents/{anytorrentfilehere}

I'm on Ubuntu natty narwhal
version of deluge is: 1.3.3

Also, I'm remoting in from a mac.

BAH! I'm so dumb. The user I had running Deluge didn't have permissions!
