The Trackers

Not 100% sure where i should post this so i will try here.

Does Deluge support getting information from multiple trackers? I have got a torrent with lots of trackers in it and i wondered if it was going to each to query it for their seeds as it doesn't appear to be to me. Also is there an option if you say keep opening different torrents for the same file that it merges them much like in UTorrent?

Thanks just my two questions, if it doesn't please consider them as suggestions. Thanks

no, it doesn't, but i wouldn't mind implementing that sometime in the future, assuming that libtorrent supports it

actually, libtorrent does support it by default, so deluge does work with multiple trackers. there's nothing in the interface for you to see this or edit the trackers with, but as long as they're listed in the torrent file, you should be good. we'll eventually add gui support for this to make it easier and more obvious to users

Deluge seems to support multiple trackers, but in a peculiar way: from what I can see Deluge tries one tracker and if it does not work, it tries another. However, I'd like to seed in both trackers simultaneously. This is possible with uTorrent, but when I try this with Deluge it adds the second tracker, but does not seem to use it, because the second tracker does not see me.

a peculiar way? it's not peculiar at all...it's what the specs call for. multiple tracker support has always been to balance between trackers, not to suck from multiple trackers. here's the spec for more info: http://www.bittornado.com/docs/multitracker-spec.txt
and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BitTorrent#Multitracker and here's some text about announcing to all trackers, like you want. http://wiki.depthstrike.com/index.php/P ... ounce-list
