Delugu 1.3.2 using almost 95% RAM

Post by bloodmage478 »

I'm using Deluge 1.3.2 ,when new torrents get added and start downloading the RAM usage peeks up to 3.84 GB (Only 4GB Available) . I have only some 5-6 torrents most of the time. I have started using Deluge recently . It has very good download speeds when compared to utorrent. 40MB/s max with deluge where i only got 15MB/s max with utorrent . Some way to fix this excessive RAM usage ?

I am also experiencing this excessive memory usage. I may be able to provide some insight. The memory is used up by memory mapped files while performing a data check. When Deluge decides to check that the data is there or if you "Force Re-check" then it maps the entire file into memory. I had it doing this check on a ton of torrents and it maxed out my 6GB of RAM. When I paused all the torrents (to make the re-check stop) then the memory usage went back to normal (<1GB used).

This never happened with 1.3.1. So I went back to that version and I am not experiencing anymore memory issues.

Edit: There is a ticket just opened about this same issue
