Preferences button doesn't work in GUI

I've been installed Deluge on two machines in my LAN: daemon on Debian Squeeze (by apt-get from Debian stable repository) and Deluge 1.3.1 on machine with Windows 7 for using in GUI-mode to remotely control the daemon. Connection between GUI and daemon is OK, but "Preferences" button doesn't work when daemon connected (button is active, but preferences window does not appear after click on the button). How to solve this?

Next, I manually configured core.conf file, tried to start torrent job (by placing .torrent in specified directory) and it works. But, GUI doesn't work correctly, it shows only common info about jobs, and job list is empty.

I guess it might be because of difference in daemon/GUI versions. Is it so?
