Sceduler in 1.3.1

Post by MisterPat »

I've been looking and searching here on how to enable the scheduler plugin. I was hopping to have it remove all bandwidth restrictions during the late evening hours. I tried to manually upload the MyScheduler plugin downloaded from here into my ~/.config/deluge/plugins and still no dice.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Just thought of this. Does the scheduler totally stop all torrents during certain times? I was looking for something that would say cut it back to 30kbs up and down during peak hours then let it rip off peak.

Have you tried to enabled the plugin from Preferences->Plugins? The scheduler plugin cannot currently be configured with the webui.

The scheduler plugin that comes with deluge has speed settings and MyScheduler is the same plugin modified to have some extra functionality.

Yes, under plugins, nothing is shown. I tried uploading MyScheduler and it wont work either.

Some more information on the system.

If your Deluge 1.3.1 is installed properly then the default Scheduler plugin should be present in the deluge-gtk options.

Thanks for the help cas.

I went and installed deluge on my Windows7 machine I use normally. I got it to connect to the daemon on my bittorrent machine. I still can not see any plugins nor can I upload any.

There is clearly something wrong with the install on your debian machine as there should be 7 built-in plugins showing.

Can you delete/move your entire config folder and try a fresh one.
Have you tried reinstalling Deluge?

Cas, I have done both today after work.

First I removed/deleted: ~/.config/deluge

Didn't help, so I removed all parts of deluge I could find on my system. Then reinstalled.

No help either.

Everything else works fine, and setting a lower upload/download rate manually works fine also. Again, tried manually uploading a plugin and still wont work.

Edit: I just uploaded MyScedular plugin through the webui. I checked the system via ftp and can see the .egg was uploaded, just not visible in the plugins window.

Thanks Cas, that helped. I followed the instructions there and was able to create all the plugin eggs. I coppied them over to ~/.config/deluge/plugins and restarted deluge. Several times. Rebooted the machine. Still wont show up in the webui or on the gtk windows program.

Any other ideas? Could it be file permissions?
