All,
I have downloaded a torrent file which contains several books from which I only one. The torrent contains a file with a .daa extension, so I am being able to select the book I want. I can not download the .daa file because its size is 4 GB and the connection is not that good. Any help regarding this issue? Can I do any thing in order to be able to select the file that I want to download from the .daa?
Thanks.
.daa file
Re: .daa file
just for clarity: you want to select a file inside a of file? so you have an archive like many-books.daa and need something inside that file?
i dont think that deluge could do that. it might be possible to to extract a file from an incomplete daa file if the header is already downloaded and the part in question too. but i dont think that direct access archives support that out of the box.
it should be near impossible to extract anything from an incomplete file if there is compression or even encryption involved.
furthermore, it would be quite a coincidence if the header and the data you seek would be aviable as there is no way of knowing where within the archive your data is stored (assuming the header for daa files are the first blocks of the daa file itself).
in a nutshell: my best guess is that you cant get that file without finishing the entire archive.

Re: .daa file
Basically, it might be a good idea to find the book separate elsewhere. Not inside a 4GB file.
