Remember column width? [SOLVED]

Post by dwagonfwy »

hi. i'm using Deluge 1.3.0 (libtorrent 0.14.10.0) on GNU/Linux's xubuntu 9.10 (karmic).

problem is the "Name" column width is not remembered or saved upon restarting deluge. for example if a torrent has a very long name, the column will be fully stretched, pushing all other columns over to the right. can someone please confirm if this is the expected behavior and/or a GUI bug?

i searched the forum, but only found a thread from 2007 where the column widths were squished together upon every restart, so it's basically the opposite of what i'm experiencing.

thanks, i'll give more info if needed.

Not something I’ve seen, can you try with 1.3.1 to see if it still persists.

sorry, i accidentally gave you false information; the Help >> About window in deluge says 1.3.0, but synaptic lists it as 1.3.1-2~karmic~ppa1.

is there a more recent version that i should try?

I about window should say 1.3.1 too unless you have installed 1.3.0 deluge from source and so are still running that version.

You can check which Deluge the system is using:

Code: Select all

which deluge

thank you, Cas, for helping me track this down.

the command for the main menu icon was "deluge" when the launcher on the panel was "deluge-gtk".
i now use the deluge-gtk command and it starts up the new version 1.3.1, and remembers the column width.

problem: solved! :D :D :D
