Linux daemon + Windows client = disaster

Post by dehlugeh »

Running Deluge 1.2.3 on both the server and client.

Basically, what it seems like is that the Windows client is reading the settings of the server and looking on the client computer rather than the server. Here's what I mean:

The folder contents could not be displayed
Error stating file '/home\edward\torrents': No such file or directory

I get that message if I try to open the settings page. It doesn't exist on the client, obviously.

Also, if I send a .torrent to the client, it will only allow me to choose folders on the client computer, which obviously isn't very useful and doesn't do anything.

Is there a way to fix this?

I figured it out. In case anyone has the same problem, it was because I was using an SSH tunnel in putty, and you have to set it up on something other than 127.0.0.1 or it goes haywire.
