Deluge wont run after update

Greets all and many thanks for developing this excellent torrent client!

I am running Debian Squeeze and after an update a few days ago, deluge has stopped working. When I try to run deluged from the terminal I get this:

ValueError: bad marshal data

I have no idea what is causing this nor how to fix it. Any ideas?

Is this an issue with python or something else?
