1.3.0 RC1 Is Using 100% CPU In Linux

Post by DasFox »

Well I was excited to install the RC but then to my surprise it ran my box at a constant 100% on the CPU while seeding. I don't know if it would do this on a download as well, I had completed a torrent on another client and decided to continue seeding it on Deluge to test it out

I'm running Slackware 13.1 x86 and if you need any system specs to help with this please let me know.

In the meantime no Deluge for me until we get this CPU issue under control... :(

I'm using the GTK+ client on my desktop, no daemon or web ui...

To start it all I run is, 'deluge'.

This was happening to me also, with Debian Linux x64 (Lenny).

I don't think the high CPU was a deluge problem however. I think the cpu problem was caused by a bug in libtorrent-rasterbar.

A few weeks ago, I updated my libtorrent-rasterbar to the current version (0.15.1). Deluge (1.3.0RC1) has been running fine ever since, no 100% cpu usage.

Hope this helps
