ubuntu intrepid support

why is there no more support for ubuntu 8.10? I caqn't upgrade due to several reasons still trying to be resolved... so why give us the short end of the stick? why no deluge 1.2.1 for us? better yet I still can't upgrade to 1.2.0 for some strange reason every time in update-manager it will not select it!
