[bug] Pausing hash check makes Deluge behave strangely

Post by Znuff »

Hello,

Under 0.5.8.4 there's a strange behaviour. I'll illustrate by example.

Let's say you download a torrent, you finish the download and deluge is currently seeding it on a private tracker.

Now let's say you add THE SAME torrent, from another private tracker, and you just want to seed it, because you already downloaded it.

Now, ofcourse the first thing deluge will do is hash check it. If you PAUSE the HASH CHECK while in progress, deluge _won't_ actually pause it. It will show as paused but it will CONTINUE to hash check it (you can see the progress indicator increasing). If you hit the RESUME button, Deluge will START DOWNLOADING the torrent, wich is... well, wrong. If you try to force a re-check, deluge won't "listen" to the command. If you try to exit the program, it will NOT exit completely, the process will hang in the background, and the only option to start it again is to kill it.

Ofcourse that when you kill it and then start again, it will have to re-hash ALL your finished torrents, AGAIN, wich is a pain if you have torrents of more than 30gb+
