upgrade from 0.5.8.7 to current [windows xp]

Post by teratosis »

Hi there, I really like Deluge and have been using it for a long time now, but I have never been able to successfully upgrade from 0.5.8.7 to the current build without some kind of prob.
I am seeding about 40 torrents to registered sites and don't want to loose them. Could a GURU please explain to me how to do this?
Thank you.

I honestly don't remember but I'm pretty sure you're going to lose the current stats in Deluge...
I believe there is a migration of sorts once you install the newer Deluge it should open the same torrents, but it loses the current stats.

You should be able to find the old .torrent files stored from the .5 version and for best results load them individually pointing to specific folders if needed for intact data it will have to recheck.
"%appdata%/deluge/state" or similar, only problem is they are in hex digits or something.
