Hi,
Could someone please post good settings for a normal ADSL Internet connection? I connect wirelessly and the speed of my connection is normally around 5,000 kbps down and 500 up. It's the bandwidth settings I am interested in. Different client has different options, so I am not able to find consistent information on ideal settings for Deluge. I am running Linux where Deluge without any doubt is the best and fastest BT client available IMHO even with default settings.
Settings for a "normal" DSL connection.
Re: Settings for a "normal" DSL connection.
I would suggest the main setting of max upload speed, limit it to somewhere around 50 maybe a little less... the other settings are going to make much less difference compared to setting just max upload speed.
Usually you want to set upload speed to 80-90% of your maximum rate. The way to find KiB/s, which is what Deluge uses, from kbps, which is what ISP's usually quote speed as, is to divide by 8. (80% of 500= 400, 400/8=50)

This is a good starting point: http://dev.deluge-torrent.org/wiki/Faq# ... shouldIuse
there's no exact science, just tweak the values until you get something that looks optimal.
