I meant torrent sites.

Most sites offer gzip encoding except it's only used when you explicitly ask for it in your http request.
The problem here is that you're always given it.

I've created a ticket for this: http://dev.deluge-torrent.org/ticket/1012

hopefully it'll make it into 1.2 but I can't guarantee it.

just an update: webkit does seem to support gzip-encoding of web pages, maybe just not for files?

either way, I'll start working on this soon.

however it won't make it into 1.2 but will make it into 1.3.
