chrome & new webui (svn)

Post by mrbrdo »

Hello,

I would like to urge the developers to test out the web ui before commit with the Chrome browser as well (as it is a very good browser and many developers use it for common browsing).
In particular, a SVN version i downloaded about a week ago has a problem in the webui, namely the File upload form does not work correctly in Chrome. Therefore i must upload all new torrents with Firefox which is very annoying.

Thank you!

Indeed it was. There is one more thing i noticed: the preferences window's "categories" (on the left) are not visible in Chrome but work fine in Firefox. It would be nice if you could fix that as well (i use it often to adjust BW and queue slots). I'm running a pretty recent build.

Also 2 more things that have been annoying me for quite some time, both FF and Chrome:
- it seems the SVN build doesn't remember the web ui password (deluge by default) - like in a cookie or something. Could you fix that (i know it worked fine in older versions)? or at least provide an option to disable the password or put an empty password (where do you change the password anyway - linux?)
- the bottom "quick" BW limits don't seem to work (when you click the current DL speed, you get a dropdown of preset limits like 100KB/s, 300KB/s, Unlimited...), so you can only change it in the preferences window. Also as a feature request it would be nice to set your own speed presets, but that's not as important as fixing the other things.
- also like i said in another post, it would be nice to be able to see the error message somewhere when a torrent errors out

Otherwise the new web ui is great so keep up the great work!
