The error seems to be implying that you have 2 torrents sharing the same file. Is this at all possible?

I do parital downloads a bunch with Deluge, and works out pretty great. This is the normal interface. So if you want to just download one file, click on the list, ctrl + a. Then set to do not download, then select the one, or few items to you want to download.

I have found that deluge does not seem to handle a lot of connections well. Try limiting each torrent to about 50 connections, and the total connections to somewhere around 150. Yes, it is probably not suggested. I am finding it hard to get a good fs that will work for OSX, Linux, and Windows.

Also finding this error to be a bit outside of the deluge as well, so might be something with my linux at this point.

This could also be a matter of chance, where you are only connected to slower peers, since there are over 1k of them. Try pausing, waiting a min, and resuming, and see if that resolves that. I am running the newer .9 series with very good speeds on 8.04.1
