Excellent, thank you for all the help. I am up and running on Deluge. Oddly, I do not have Deluge on my desktop, despite the .desktop file. No big deal. However, locating the program worked great. Sorry for the lack of knowledge, that was an important step in my path to getting to know Linux better.

I am able to do that, but Firefox still fails to recognize either Deluge or Transmission as possible programs. Going into Firefox Preferences > Applications, I'm able to view "Bit Torrent Seed File" and am given the options "Always Ask, Save File, Monsoon (Default), Use Other..., and ...

That's sort of the problem - I don't know what the "Linux equivalent" is. I have no idea how to tell Firefox to use Deluge. I'm very experienced with Windows, but completely new to openSUSE and Linux. And thanks for the advice on the ports, that had skipped my mind. I recently changed ISP,...

Problems Adding Torrents (openSUSE)
I actually have two problems concerning Deluge. I have been unable to add torrents by opening them, and have been unable to get Deluge to recognize an open port. Both of these seem like Linux-specific problems, and are almost certainly due to my inexperience with it. I am currently running openSUSE ...
