What is it that you use, that is so important and missing in the older version of pyGTK?
Debian is one of the most wide-spread distributions, so this is - in my opinion - just a silly thing that makes deluge less competitive, and not available for all users possible, like it should be.

the point is that debian etch doesnt have a new enough version of python-gtk2 to work with deluge. we require >= 2.9, which is actually pretty old, but not by debian stable standards. Oh, ok. I have the newest Debian, and.... well, frankly, I don't see the point of releasing for distros that don't yet officially exist, but ok. Still think it was you, hehe. Anyway, I'm trying the source now... We'll see how that'll turn out.
