I think you are speaking about the same problem mentioned in this thread:

Start deluge via terminal to see the proper error message, but before delete the /.config/deluge folder.

1.1.8 - config: 293 Error backing up old config
Hi there, Just upgraded via repository to 1.1.8 and can't get deluge to start. Using Jaunty 64-bit. First, when I tried to start deluge after the upgrade, nothing popped up, although there was a process shown in the system manager. Then I deleted the /.config/deluge/ folder and reinstalled deluge vi...

Another Bug in 0.5.7
When I start deluge, the last 2 columns (Availability, Ratio) are appearing again, of course they were deactivated before.
0.5.7.1 has this bug too.

Re: Memory Leak
Hi,
It seems that the memory leak is reappearing again. I'm using 0.5.7, installed via .deb for Gutsy.
The configuration is the same as in previous versions.
Every 20-30 seconds the memory raises up for 0.1 MB.
Anybody experiencing the same problem?

Re: Repository for Gutsy?
Hi, My Intention is not to force you and say that you must do this, it's only a suggestion, a feature that would be nice in future, because it will help spread deluge due to comfortability. Your program is great, really, i love it and enjoy it. It's the best client out there for Linux. I really appr...

Re: Repository for Gutsy?
Hi,
But isn't it also possible to build your personally repository, as we can see in my first post, where always the latest version of deluge is lying? Let the official Ubuntu repo be on his own, lets make an up to date one, like others do with their programs.
