We've worked hard to keep the details about this release a secret, but it's at least time to share with the community. Deluge now has an internal browser which completely anonimizes our users' browsing. Yeah, you read that correctly. Why? Everyone knows that it is common practice for ISPs to do their best to either block or throttle BitTorrent users. We believe that this is wrong and unethical, as there are many legal uses for BitTorrent. If an ISP is throttling or blocking BitTorrent traffic, you can pretty much bet that they're tracking which users visit BitTorrent-related sites so that they can better block or throttle those users. Are we just paranoid? Maybe, but I've worked for an ISP in the past, and I can assure you that there is a need for this service. Remember, this is a RC, not a final release. If our proxy server is overloaded or other problems crop up, please bare with us as we work to balance things and get everything working nicely. Thanks

ctrl+a adds a torrent
ctrl+l adds a torrent via URL
ctrl+p pauses torrent(s)
ctrl+r resumes torrent(s)
delete removes torrent(s)

* Fix zombie processes from occuring
* Fix saying goodbye to trackers
* Increase auto remove ratio to 100
* Fix problem on Windows with filenames that have special characters

* Add internal anonymizing browser - Key bindings for that are as follows:
ctrl+l focus on location bar
ctrl+k focus on search bar
ctrl+r refreshes current page
ctrl+enter adds 'www.' and '.com' to url string
shift+enter adds 'www.' and '.net' to url string

Packages are at their normal locations http://deluge-torrent.org/downloads.php or http://download.deluge-torrent.org

although I appreciate the effort you guys are making (not to mention money you're spending) wouldn't this thing be better as a plugin rather than built-in?

my isp (afaik) doesn't track my history or throttle my BT downloads (not yet anyway) so I have no real need for this at the moment.

it only gets loaded into memory when a user clicks on the browser, so it doesnt add any weight to those who dont want it. but maybe you have a point

I disabled both the browser & search in preferences and restarted deluge. The search bar was gone however the browser button still seems to be there. I have no problem with an internal browser being built-in if when it's deactivated it's act like it's not there. I just don't want deluge to become bloated like so many other bt clients.

Can the Proxy for the Browser be also used with Torrents downloading? If so it can be a new way to thwart those ISP's like Rogers that circumvent the use of Protocol Encryption.

not *yet*. please dont even try. we're starting at step one...we'll get to step 2 when/if we manage. it is in the plans, though, so stick with us and spread the word!

the icon doesnt go away, you're right on that. but the memory usage is not increased until you load up the browser, fyi

Great work but litle bug:

i use 1024x768 resolution and when the search bar is active i could not maximize or resize the deluge window, when disabled it's ok.
