Torrent recheck/re-indexing

When I start deluge after an unclean shutdown i goes to reindex the torrents. the problem is that i don't wan't to reindex 20GB of torrents i paused for a reason. Could you implement the behaviour that's in uTorrent?
ie. it's stopped and isn't re-indexed after an unclean shutdown but after i say i want to start downloading it
